LX200 Wide Field Platform

l've made up a mounting plate 12mm x 250mm x 550mm to be used as a wide field photographic platform capable of holding multiple scope and camera combinations. shown with Orion slow motion adapter.

Hi Mick

Looks like a fine piece of engineering, well done!

Do you fasten top mounted equipment and accessories via the various holes by using bolt(s) from underneath the plate? Or, are the holes tapped to accept fixing bolts from the top side?

some holes are tapped and some are recessed and accessories bolted from underneath, this way there are no bolt heads protruding from the plate.

That's a fine looking mounting plate Mick. Are the radius blocks aluminum?
