Moon Colour Tonight

Hi,can anyone explain why the moon is showing orange/red tonight in the southern VIC area? Havent heard of any fires etc?

There is a lot of red dust and dirt up there at the moment from strong winds out west as you will find out in your next shower of rain....

maybe dust in the atmosphere, bloodshot eyes, near the horizon you get that effect

We got rain on Monday and everything is red, took me 3 1/2 hours just to get the red dirt off the car, all the roofs here in Coota are the same colour,

Yep, all three of my cars and everything else in Canberra is covered in the red stuff.....

One heck of a front must have picked that up trans-Australia.

Yep, southern Vic gets belted by fronts at least 304 times a week year round so dust is to be expected. Just wait till "New Winter" (Summer in the rest of Aust).....
