Centaurus A ala natural close-up and deeper :-)

So?.. I'm bored....

This is a more zoomed in closeup version that still keeps the natural look of my arhem..."last" version but also incorporates more of the deep data to show the full extent of the outer halo while still retaining inner detail and overall image smoothness, the outer polar extensions of the halo and the galactic cirrus are now visible in this version though:

50% size:

There is a link to a 100% res under the image if ya really interested, but there is slight registration issues that only came to my attention after I had uploaded to my web site, it is pretty minor but at 100% res is slightly noticable as minor flaring at the top and top right of the image...oh well couldn't be bothered redoing it

Happy Cen A'ing...again

Yeh..? ok

I've done so many versions now that personally I can't decide which I like most

I know from an image processing natural-look perspective it isn't the pick but I "think" I have a soft spot for this version because it actually reveals the shell structure in the galaxy halo (ED. Thanks Scott Alder ) which I have seen in only a couple of other images actually and only one other colour image - done with a very big telescope!

version done with very big 4m telescope:

A B&W view done with a beaut 24" F3 Hypergraph in Namibia (scroll down)

any way....

Yeah that rendition is real nice. Personally I reckon the very deep version is too bright. I like this one much better. It's softer and easier on the eye.
