Moon ... 09-09-08

Hi All

Just a shot of the moon from a couple of nights ago. Only took the one exposure as I was using the moon to see if SBIG would come to focus with MPCC and filters fitted to FLT110 instead of WO Flat68 Flattener. There was some high level cloud and dew around so not ideal conditions for imaging. Actually I was surprised how good the visuals of Moon and Jupiter were even through cloud with this scope.

Image Details :

0.001sec exposure
WO FLT110 Apo
SBIG ST2000XCM
MPCC,UV/IR,LPS2
EQ6 Pro
horizontal flip, 180 rotation with slight level adjustment and greyscale convert in CS3

Excellent Steve. I'm looking at the results of people such as yourself who have the ST2k camera, and it works pretty well. At oly 2MP it still resolves nicely.

Cheers Chris, it's a very capable camera and having the built in guide chip is brilliant .... plus being able to image at up to 40 degrees below ambient ( with water ) and 30 degrees with air only.
