My first new image in almost 2 months, god damn broken foot. I didn't realise this object was so big and hot.. I need to do it again with a closer eye on focus plus put the reducer in. This was shot at F9. I also need some shorter subs to tone down the burn out. But it is a spectacular nebula. 6x5minute subs at iso400 on this one.

geez i know how you feel (not the broken foot) its been about that long for me too, im living in reprocess world at the moment.

a few shorter exposures will fill in the detail for you in the heart, ....youre almost finished

Tracking seems a touch off, I suppose with the reducer it would be less noticeable. Colors are different... That camera of yours really pushes red very hard! Good to see you were out imaging though... Must have felt good...

A lot of good can come from a few sets of data at different exposures.. 5x5 mins + 5x2 mins and 5x1 min should give you a hell of a lot of dynamic range. even some 30 second subs could make a difference. right down to the trapezium...

It's a desperate man/woman who tries to image under those conditions.

Great to see you back out imaging Robin.

Although the centre area is burnt out it is a fine image. You have captured a lot of detail in the fainter parts of the nebula as well.

Cheers everone, no wind here last night, it died off around 7:30. Yes that camera is red. I didn't touch the colour on this, just curves and levels and a run through neat image. Next step is to get that eq6 out of the box, shooting at F9 seems a bit much for the heq5

Got some time to reprocess and mask off the burn out and reduce the red.

Also got a summed image of 253 giving 70 minutes total exposure but it's not very clean at all.
