Ngc6231

Now I'm sure this is it, total exposure about 3 minutes

through 80ED ASO800, levels in PS

tried auto guiding

Looks slightly overexposed/out of focus Trev. Did you take one long exposure?

hi trevor

for a 3 min exposure i would expect more stars, i suspect the focus isnt quite there either.

with levels adjust the bottom point up til the sky has a value between 20 and 30 ..... for rgb imaging dont make it too dark (note i havent checked this image)

This is the uncropped but resized version best 3 images 120 seconds with darks/lights auto levels brightness contrast adjusted in PS7 focus is off
