Crescent Moon, Venus, Mercury and Mars - 2nd September

I was lucky enough to have clear skies for this spectacular conjunction tonight that included three planets and a crescent moon.

I would have liked to image this group when the sky was darker but that would've meant the pairing would be behind the house.

Taken with my Canon 450D and 18-55mm lens @ 55mm. 3 second exposure at ISO 100. Cropped and resized for the web.

Please let me know if you would like to see a larger version as I will post it on my website.

Thanks for looking.

Hey Matt that's a great shot !!
I love the sharp moon outline and silky smooth sky.

Dave I was hoping you'd get the shots tonight.
I was looking at the sunset and wondering if you would get the chance to image.
Great shots mate, I really like the suburban foreground too, gives a nice perspective.
The last shot looks cool with the earthshine detail.
