Medal Count for Australia

Just quickly browsing the medal count - and this was quick and dirty- it seems pretty clear that based on per capita analysis, Oz has kicked butt in the Olympics. China has 1.3 BILLION people, and the US 300 million, and Oz 20 million. Looking at the number of medals - total or by the gold-silver-bronze breakdown based on the population, pound for pound...ah, sorry, kilo for kilo, you folks have really excelled.

I think we'll look into this whole Vegemite thing, now....[ack]...might be something to it...

Thanks, also for preventing the Chinese from sweeping the diving events!

Congrats, friends!

Scott in USA

Hi Scott! Welcome back, haven't seen you for a while!

Yeh it was great! I wish we could've taken the women's basketball off you!

G'Day Scott.

As a person who would rather play sport than watch it most of the time, I enjoyed watching this olympics (I probably watched more of it than I have in years).

(Shhhhh about the vegemite, OK?)

Al.

Thanks, Mike. Been buried at work for awhile, that's likely to continue. My scopes here in Tucson are still packaged away from my move. Hoping to get out some, as Tucson't astro-offerings are much better than Wisconsin's. It's..just....this...bloody....job thing....who invented this nonsense....that and the three laws of thermodynamics...big bloody nuisances......

Regards

Scott

Hey Scott!

Yep, OZ does well (per capita) as always!

ps. put the encoders back on the 12" yesterday and connected up my new (used!) Argo Navis. Looking good - now just need some visible stars to do an align!

Cheers
Eric

There will be no vegemite for you Scott!

I read something about vegemite being confiscated by US customs after being deemed not to meet US food and drug admin regs
