Jupiter 15th August

Hi All,

Well its been ages since i went out with the scope and did some imaging.
This was first light for the Sitech controlled G-11, and things go as planned but well enoug for some quick imaging. It was also first light for my manual filter wheel and Astro done filters. But i could only mange 100 frame runs for the RGB run at 10fps due to "Technical difficulties" and i just wanted to get something to show for the night.

1. I have here my First RGB run 10fps (a mistake) 100 frames (another mistake) should have been 10sec at 30fps. Anyhow this is what i got. I had to limit to 10sec so that i could have enoug time to recenter, change filters and reset capture parms. I know better for next time.

2. I also did two mono runs of about 900frames each of which i used 400-500.

These were all taken after Jupiter had crossed the meridian and was starting o get lower in the west. So possibly I missed the best of it while it was overhead.

Regards
Fahim

Nice work Fahim. I have been looking at Jupiter over the last few nights and the views were quite poor due to the jet stream, so you have done very well to produce an image at that scale with that detail.

Cheers

Dennis

Good work Fahim.
It gets frustrating at time though doesn't it, when things 'muck up'.
