make a splash!

Hi All,

I've been trying to get THAT water drop splash shot for a while. Recently bought a Canon 580 speedlite and had a run through trying to catch "the moment". It's by no means perfect, but the closest I've got so far

Think I might try some other liquids...hmmm I wonder if cooking oil splashes

cheers.

Rob

Nice capture Robert and congrats on the 580 speedlight, it's a great unit huh !

If you haven't already, then check out the multi-flash function, it's unreal for multiple stop action photography.

Thanks Andrew, I reckon the 580 speedlite is the best bit of camera kit I've bought to date. Absolutely amazing the difference it can make... even in broad daylight taking insect macros it really adds punch to the pics

I haven't tried the multi-flash yet, but want to give it a go soon on some slow moving subject like a falling feather
