http://www.precons.com/iis/gallery/Movies/Large_Files/

Hi all,

here are the high quality images. I am pretty happy that movice maker mabaged to transform the original 700 mbyte files captured into a sub 10 mbyte file.

Best for broadband only, guys!

Is there a reason they're in wmv format instead of avi?

Registax won't read wmv.

Hi Mike,

when i initially record tru k3ccd, i get 700 mbyte avi files. windows movie maker then converts it to the small files (less than 1 mbyte) for posting and also the one i have in the large folder (less than 10mbyte) . i have been trying to find in movie maker where i can change from wmv back to avi but not at 700mbyte. even compressing of what is still a large movie with lots of detail created a large zip file aprox 50myte.

i would love to use any other movie editing software so i can put in avi, if there are any suggestions??

I was mainly thinking for passing it through registax - if you've still got the original 700meg avi then that's fine.

Have you seen "Bink & Smacker" by RADTools? It can convert movies between any formats.

VirtualDub is the program I use to convert from avi to bmp.
