Let not forget that on this day 40years ago 106 men of “D” company 6 RAR had a wee run with some of North Vietnamese force numbering 2500 strong and sent them back home to thing again about taking on the Australia Task Force

LEST WE FORGET

P.S
Also heard that they may have found the remains of one of our M.I.A in Vietnam Pte David Fisher (S.A.S.) when missing after a hot rope extraction
let hope it is true and he can come at last

Yes, we shouldn't forget! Not enough is made of what our ANZAC's and Viet vets went through! How many people realize how close the Germans and the Japs were to total world domination. Lest we forget, indeed!

I'm reading Tobruk, by Peter Fitzsimmons at the moment.. now there's another forgotten battle in which Aussies did the world proud.

Lest we forget.

42 years ago now.

There was a special commemorative thing 2 years ago at the 40th anniversary.

I know someone who was there ( not in D company though.)

I see that Smith and the others who were denied their bravery awards in the past will now have them after all.
