Arrow Nikon SLR Sale 2 (Price Drop Again, now $325 + free post)

NIKON FM2n SLR

Here is a rare opportunity to purchase a classic Nikon SLR before they are all gone. Great for star trails and astro work, no need to worry about the battery running out and closing the shutter half way through a 60min exposure, no need to worry about the CCD over-heating.
This is my Nikon FM2n SLR (Chrome), fully mechanical film camera that badly needs a new home. The “n” series has an aluminium shutter. Purchased as an emergency backup camera about three years ago and was only used twice. Very reliable camera in A1 perfect working order. This camera ranks at number 3 on the all time best mechanical Nikon SLR’s list, only beaten by the F2 and the FM3a.

When your other electronic cameras fail due to moisture, extreme heat or cold, batteries etc, this one will keep going, great for traveling. The only battery that is required is to run the light meter (this battery is NOT included with the camera, and NO body cap or strap). The shutter, film transport mechanism etc are all mechanical. The aluminium shutter was designed to overcome the problems that the previous model had in regards to expansion and contraction of the shutter due to temperature changes. The FM2n has a flash-sync shutter speed of 1/250th of a second where as the FM2 only has a flash-sync of 1/200th.

Not too many of these left now. Nikon collectors are holding on to theirs. They are not produced by Nikon anymore, they will only increase in value over the coming years. This one is in excellent condition apart from a minor mark to the side of the prism housing (see pictures). This does not affect the cameras operation in any way, it’s purely cosmetic and it‘s priced accordingly, still a bargain for a classic camera. It hasn’t done much work, looks new, the pictures speak for themselves. Light seals are all excellent. There is no brassing. There are no paint chips.

These are selling in the Photographic Trader (when they come up) for $500+ in questionable condition.

Asking price now $325 which includes REGISTERED post Australia wide, insurance is extra (highly recommended).

PM me with any questions.

***I also have a Yashica-Mat EM 6x6cm (120) medium format TLR for sale if anyone is interested, PM me. NOW SOLD

And,…in a month or two, I am selling my Fujifilm S3pro DSLR (Nikon F mount) with Nikkor ED AF-S 18-70mm f3.5-4.5G DX lens.
