Jupiter - GRS area

Here's a couple of quick processing jobs from Jupiter tonight. One is over-processed a bit but it shows the Little Red Spot (towards the middle of the planet) a little better. They looked better in the dark while I processed them, lol. I may have some better images tomorrow as well.

Nice work Dave, lots of lovely detail there. Perhaps a tad overprocessed still.

What are you calling the LRS? I can't see it on your images.

Well, here's where I think it might be based on earlier pics I saw. It doesn't have much, if any color at all so if it is the LRS, maybe it needs a new name... And, it could be something different that is more like a typical white storm. I took a bunch of avi's so maybe something else will show whatever it is better.

ahh ok, that's not the LRS. The LRS was originally at about that spot (mid-late June), but in early July it got squeezed between the GRS and Oval BA (Red Jr) and came out the other side (and lost its colour).

So in your image it has probably set already. Though from other images i've seen lately, it's pretty much unrecognisable now and seemingly completely disappeared. Though I haven't seen any high-res images in the last day or two.

Oh, ya, it is on the other side, lol. Thanks - I'll check some of my earlier pics but I won't get my hopes up...

I captured the LRS about a week ago.. its a lot smaller than it used to be, but its still there, and whilst its not as distinct as it used to be, its still slightly yelowish in comparison to the rest of Jupiter..

Oh, how rude of me... Nice job Dave. A touch over-sharpened perhaps.. but showing great detail.

OK, I did this one during the day and tried something a little different. The GRS is more centered and there isn't much to the left of the GRS in this shot.
