This morning's Moon

Hi All,

The Moon looked great as it was rising just after 5am today, so I couldn't resist grabbing a quick shot. (Pentax K100D with 300mm telephoto, f/5.6, 4 sec exposure at 400iso. Image cropped but no other adjustments.)

Cheers,
Stephen

Nice one Stephen, would be even better if it was tracked. I think there's some slight motion blur from the 4 sec exposure.

It sure was a lovely sight, I was viewing it myself driving to the station.

Tomorrow morning should be even better.

Nice shot Stephen, I always love viewing the Moon early in the morning.

Thanks Matty and Mike.

Yes, it would have been better if it was tracked Mike! Unfortunately my little eq2 mount doesn't really like the weight of a dSLR+telephoto lens, so I'll have to start saving for an eq5 or similar...

Might try again tomorrow morning.

Cheers,
Stephen
