Jupiter July 22 - 23

Hi
I haven't posted here for ages and haven't done any planetary images for a long time. A couple of images taken near midnight on the 22nd. The new SkyNyx camera has larger pixels so only a small image scale so far. I've just purchased a new barlow that should fix this - now for some clear skies.

11" SCT, 2.5x powermate, SkyNyx 2.0 mono camera, 45 secs each of RGB, 39fps.

Nice images Graeme. Good spread of detail from limb to limb, pole to pole.

How do you find the SkyNyx camera?

Hey Graeme, welcome back. Haven't seen you for ages.

They're great images! Looking very good. Maybe a tad too red but overall a very pleasing set.
