Images Plus

I got a demo of this software and it only seems to run on one CPU. Does the full version use all available CPU's? It's so slow ......

The full version is actually written for dual core computers. I have never used the demo version. I am using ImagesPlus 3 and it flies.

Cheers

Cheers guys. The author replied and each function is single threaded, meaning it runs on a single CPU. But you can run multiple functions at the same time making it multithreaded,

I guess I'm just doing things too slow for it to show an advantage on this multicore CPU/

heh.. What you need to do is photograph 2 targets per night and run multiple instances of ip and process both series of subs simultaneously.

That will give the cpu a nice little kick in the pants..

4 targets and 8 next year. Maxim is the same, everything is single threaded and it only uses 1 cpu. They aren't taking advantage of modern machines. At least Deep Sky Stacker and Photoshop drives all 4 CPU's.
