more ducks..

After seeing duck photos yesterday in here, I felt compelled to go and take more duck photos of my own...

350D+70-200F/4L, ISO100, varying shutter speeds... (all shots are 100% crops)

Image notes...
1 - I just missed focus, caught the far wing fairly well.. thought I'd post it as a "what could have been" image...
2 - Just missed focus ever-so-slightly, still shows good detial..
3 - I really like the composition...
4 - Pretty happy with this shot
5 - Pick of the bunch in my opinion...

I NEEDmore reach...

It's a piece of cake shooting sitting ducks, but very hard to get a decent shot of them on the move.
That first shot would have been a cracker if only.....
You've done real well on the others though.

My son and I were out today shooting more ducks. I did get some in the air, but have no idea if they turned out well or not.

Yeah, I have a ton of them just milling about in the water, but at the moment for me I've got all emphasis on catching them landing and taking off... its such an epic display of precise chaos!

thanks for the comments jjj. Best of luck with the new snaps!
