Shuttle and ISS information for Sat Night

This is applicable to Adelaide as far as I know, and it is from the ASSA information officer.

Not a good sighting tonight, only 17 degrees elevation for 1 minute, in the south west to SSW at 7:13pm However, Saturday night will give an opportunity for SA to see the two spacecraft just after the Discovery undocks from the ISS. The sky will be rather bright at 6:05pm, and the Sun is 6 degrees below horizon ( Civil twilight). The two craft will rise in the NW, reach a
maximum elation in the SW of 48 degrees, and set in the SE. The whole show will last 3 minutes. On Sunday August 7, the 2 spacecraft will be separated further, with the
shuttle leading by 40 seconds or so. A short sighting only 15 degrees elevation in the South West sky.
