Takahashi FS102***Sale Pending***

OK, I am amending this advert somewhat.

For sale is my Takahashi FS102 OTA.
It is with Takahashi finder bracket, caps front and rear, and 1.25" ocular holder. Tube rings are also included.
AU$2300 plus any costs incurred.

Focuser is the usual buttery smooth Takahashi but at this stage there is only one knob, I got it like that, but have used a Feather Touch Micro on it, so haven't missed the two knob setup. I am sure I or the new owner will be able to locate one. Focuser that is part of this sale is the genuine original Takahashi, NOT the Feather Touch Micro.
General condition is excellent. There are a few bright specks on the objective which are likely dew spots, I haven't cleaned it and don't intend doing this.
Perfect all rounder, and needs no introduction. At 820mm focal length it is a cracker for imaging, but equally stunning for visual use as well.

If the buyer is located in Australia then I may be able to have an optional NZ native timber storage case transported to Sydney in a weeks time at little cost. But I would need to have finalized the deal prior to the 4th July. Cost of this case, which includes a natty well hidden custom built solar filter is $150.

Talk to me via PM, or via e mail g.beal@xnet.co.nz for more details.
Thanks,
Gary

Hi gary I am surprised to see you selling the Tak. This was one of the best refractors made by Takahashi. A true fluorite doublet. Better than the new TOA's which are triplets and take a while to reach thermal equalibrium. The new Taks don't use a fluorite lens as it creates greenhouse problems to make but the best lens material.

A real top buy for someone. I already have one.

Trav,
you serious? Hope not.
Indications from a few fellow IIS members is somewhere between the AU$2300 and $2700 mark.
So, in answer to your offer, sorry, no.

Advert has been amended to reflect the ability to have this OTA picked up from Sydney or despatched within Australia.
I will upload some pictures once this wild weather abates.

OK, a couple of people looking, but despite a few e mails back and forth, nobody has said "Yep, I'll take it". So I will reduce the price a little.
Reduced to $2150.
