Jupiter 13/06/08

Such a long time between imaging sessions, due to weather, I have to learn what I'm doing all over again

The skies were pretty much clear but with 95% relative humidity I was standing in puddles of dew. I'm guessing the water in the atmosphere scatters the light also? so hard to get detail.

I can see Europa and Io in the first shot, can you?

cheers

Mark

I like the first one in terms of composition, it's just a tad overexposed in the equatorial region.

Apart from that very nice captures!

Thanks for the comments.

Settings? The first was with a 2x barlow at 5fps for 3 minutes which gives you about 900 frames and stacked the best 400 with Registax. Not sure what exposure cause the spc900 camera control doesn't tell you.

The 2nd was with the 5x powermate which was just waaay to much for the conditions.
