Swan Nebula - M17

This is not as good as this could look I'm sure, I need a later version of PShop I think to be able to work with greater colour depth. I did a stack with fits files ( 32 bit ) and it has so much more depth of detail but I can't process it as yet so I reverted to stacking DDP and RGB files from CCDOPS for this version.
I also have good data on M83 and M16 from fits .... anyway I'll get there. Does anybody have a copy of PS CS2 they don't want anymore

Very nice Swan steve!
You have done a nice job of it!
Is this the full frame or have you cropped it slightly?

Thanks Gary, glad you like it !

It's full frame, the fov of the st2000 is quite narrow ! There are pros and cons to that. It allows me to get in close with the 254mm Newt and get some good detail. I'm thinking of getting an ED80 Pro ... while they are cheap ... to do some wider field stuff or I have a Meade 90mm Mak that I could try ... bit slow though and I'd have to modify a dovetail bar to mount it on the EQ6. It's all fun ay !
