Frist light

Why is it that whenever you buy something the clouds rolling. After spending a small fortune on a new(2nd hand) camera. The clouds rolled in. After near two weeks I've got a cloud free night and have attached the camera through a temp adaptor. Here is a screenshot of first light in progress. It's exciting as I'm trying out my robo focus for the first time as well. I hope to get some temp comp data tonight at least. will post first pic later.

Hi Alexander

Good to see you around the place again. This tread went dead as the temp adaptor I made while waiting for the factory one, did not work very well.
The Williams STL adaptor has turned up and is now fitted I must say or though the weather has not been great it has been good enough to get an impression of this camera. Compare the M20 from a QH8 http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/a...se.php?a=42000
to the STL11000. Everything is the same except the camera. Obviously you would expect a camera costing four times as much to be better, never the less it's a big jump. http://www.astrographica.com/index.p...g2_itemId=4218

Hi Kenny, I must have missed this thread first time around. your first light image of M20 is a beauty very sharp and nice natural colour.

A fine image.
