7mm nagler
I have had this eyepiece about a year and used it a lot in my 10 " dob.
having finished my 12" I find the extra magnifiaction a little to much and
don't use it to often.

This eyepiece is the older smooth barrel type , as recieved I can't thread a 1.25" filter into it ..optics are good...original box and caps

Hi Nightstalker

I've been thinking about this eyepiece,the 7mm Nagler, for a few weeks now. Could you let me know , possibly in more detail, what you think is wrong with the thread that prevents filters from screwing in, is there any visible defect or no thread at all or something else.

I think its a nick on the thread somewhere it is threaded for a filter..I've rarely used filters at this power in the 12" anyway so its never bothered me to much ....I can also slot in a threaded adapter to reduce my 2" filters down to 1.25" so its not an
issue most of the time .
