Mars and M44, May 21-23

Hi all,

Here are some shots taken with a K100D and 300mm telephoto lens, showing Mars "merging" into the Beehive Cluster over the last 3 evenings. 8 or 10 sec exposures at 1600 iso. Hope you like them.

Cheers,
Stephen

(Has anyone else been imaging these?)

Nice images Stephen, you have done a great job.

Was the 23rd of May the closest approach?

Thanks Matty,

Yes, They start moving apart tonight.

Here is another longer exposure (30sec) taken last night, which I quite like because of the trails.

Cheers,
Stephen
