Help needed to restore "auto tours " to LX200

Hi everyone.
I was trying to get familiar with downloading new orbital info for the ISS and HST the other day which I had success with on My LX200GPS.
However, During the process of downloading the new info, I deleted the Auto Tours in the handbox memory and didnt have them backed up.
I didnt know that the new info would over-write the old, and now I have lost them.

I tried to download them from Meade.com but I can get it to work from the Meade site. All other info can be dowmloaded from Meade, just not the Tours ????

Does anyone have any tips on how to get them back or download them ?

Geoffro.

If you havent done an erase user banks, then all yr old data is still in the handbox, however, to get the tours back requires going into download mode, and a special little app.
As to uploading/downloading data, and making backups, i have a PEC editor application that ( for an ASII type scope ), allows you to grab all yr data, as well as read write individual data elements back to yr scope.
It has no live "grab" functionality from the net, but it is much more user friendly for doing the PC to scope type transactions.

Once you have saved the files to disk as *.mtf
You can use the std import functions of ASU to reload them to yr scope
or you can use my app to load them.
When using ASU, you use the std mode or live mode to do this
If you use std mode, you just retrieve the current contents
then import the new mtf files and transfer them to the scope.
If you use live mode, this can result in probs if the name is not 16 chars long. ( I havent tested the new ASU just released, but the older versions dont work well in live mode )
If you use my app, you just open the relevant files and send the selected ones back to yr scope

I have written several apps to work with the Meade firmware,
mostly for diagnostic purposes.
For basic reading of current data, my std PEC Editor app will grab everything in yr scope and display it in a std tabular form.
It will also allow you to load dat back to yr scope

For "deleted" data, i have a special app that sucks "all" the data ( current or deleted ) out of yr scope and allows you to recover any of the data you want to. It is not normally used for tours etc, as they can be downloaded from their original sources, however it can grab them if required.

Thank you for your time on this subject.
I have saved the files onto my hard disk, and will try to get them into my scope's handbox.

I appreciate your time very much.

Cheers.
