Some more Jupiter images

Hi everyone,

I reprocessed all my Jupiter observations of this year with the derotation technique by modifying Registax project files. Here's another example.

Cheers,

Awesome shots Erwin.. the detail in and around the GRS is exceptional -and that image scale is HUGE! What focal length is that at?

Do you resample your images during processing?

What resolution and frame rate do you use during capture?

Also, your image is way above the 60k limit - can you please re-attach a smaller one, and if you want to show a larger one please link to an offsite version.. have to keep the DB size down! Thanks

Thanks Mike!

Is corrected.

The resolution is stated in the image, the frame rate was 10 fps and the focal lenght was 29 x 235 mm = 6870 mm.

Cheers,

Andrew,

I improved the electrical grounding to reduce striping in the raw frames and provided it with a better cooling with an all metal housing. Also the camera is equipped with an IR and UV blocking filter to reduce smearing because of atmospheric dispersion.

Cheers,

Hell that C9.25 sure makes some nice images, glad I am thinking of getting one of them, or a 10-12" meade or C11 aven't decided fully yet.
