DSLR Focus & Nikon - Please HELP!

does this software support a Nikon D40?

i have installed it and when I goto the 'Connect to Camera' it does have anything in the drop down box, just says None

just to confirm, my D40 is on, switched to M mode and another program picks it up?

Hi Prova,

I could be wrong but from what I know DSLRFocus only supports Canon cameras.

I could be wrong.

I just had a read of the DSLRFocus website and comfirmed that I was wrong.

The software supports Canon, Nikon and other digital cameras.

Not the latest ones though, the developer has stopped developing apparently.

Tried everything for DSLR Focus to detect my Nikon but no go, is there anyone that knows this software well enough that can help me?

I've got Nikon Capture NX installed (if I even need it) and know that my D40 is supported ..

Prova - I'm using Images Plus Camera Control to successfully run both my Nikon D40 and Canon 350D.

I run a serial cable to control the 350D's bulb function, and am going to get the Shoestring astronomy infrared adapter to control the Nikon's bulb release as the Nikon doesn't use a hardware cable solution.

Other than for bulb release, Images Plus CC runs both cameras main functions, including focus control, just the same through their standard USB cables.
