M83, now and then

Hello All,

I'm finally starting to get the hang of the new G11 and with those rare occasions I get to image these days the throughput is minimal!

Nevertheless, here's my latest effort on M83 from this weekend.
I include my previous best from 2 years ago. I think I'm improving. I have a feeling I went a bit overboard with the saturation levels though...oh well...

I still struggle with focusing but I'll get there. I have finally fixed my collimation (for the first time in, well, ever!)
cheers
frank

A pleasing result Frank. Well done. Be careful with colour saturation adjustments. Those such as in PS perform a non-linear stretch on your data during the process. This may/or may not be what your after - especially if you start clipping. One better method is to use the PS shadow/highlights tool. There are many other ways to increase colour hue richness. Look forward to seeing more.

Thanks guys. Jase, I didnt know about the sat impact though I had noticed it seriously distorts the image when its pushed really hard. I'll explore the other ways to play with it. Thanks again
