What PDA and Sfotware?

Does anyone have any experience with using a PDA to get the alt/azm of objects? If so what are you using and what software are you running?

Another very good option is Pocket Sky by Software Bisque, makers of Sky version 6, it is designed for Pocket PC.

Down loaded a copy of Pocket Stars and it looks perfect, now just have to find an old/cheap PDA to run it on. When up and running this will replace the list of alt/azm readings I get from Starry Nights on my computer to take out for the setting circles. I would be amazing to be able to find the settings in real time.

Lex, Yep, got your PM and will follow up if needed, thanks. As for the budget about $200 is less than I thought it would cost so that is the ball park for me now.

Hi Guys,

I run a Palm Tungsten E with a couple of freeware packages...

Astro Info v 2.5.1 http://astroinfo/sourceforge.net/
PleiadAtlas V2.1.1 http://astro.isi.edu/pleiadatlas/

I also have a handy little program called Sidereal fo obvious reasons.

Al.
