A Busy Night

Here's a few images from last night.

NGC 3372 - Eta Carinae - 10 x 30 second subs

NGC 4755 - Jewel Box - 6 x 30 second subs

NGC 5139 - Omega Centauri - 5 x 30 second subs

I am happy with the final results but I am still limited to bright objects because of my setup. I'm still saving those pennies for an EQ mount.

All taken with my Celestron 8SE SCT with a f/6.3 Focal Reducer and a Canon 450D. INCR Darks at ISO 1600.

Thanks for looking.

Good work Matty.

I especially like the Carina nebula and the Jewel Box. Omega seems a bit noisy but i can tell the data is there, might just be a matter of setting the dark point a tad better.

Good stff, You wont know yourself when you get your EQ and start imaging for several minutes!

The Jewel box would have to be my pick of the bunch Matty. Nice round tight stars with subtle colours. Well done.

I totally agree, I wont know myself when I get an EQ mount.

Thanks Jase,

I was amazed how well the Jewel Box came out for only 30 second subs.

Lovely images Matty, you've really got the hang of the 450D.

Keep saving for that EQ, I've a feeling there are some ripper images on the way.

Cheers

Nice set of images Matty. The Jewel Box would be our pick of the three also. You seem to have picked up on the processing too, well done.

Once you get that EQ mount you will do very well.
