Jupiter in average seeing

Hi all

After weeks of endless clouds and rain (my last image of Jupiter was on the 10th April!), I finally had some clear skies to grab an image. Unfortunately the seeing didn't match expectations and a night without sleep has gone without reward

Here's the best from a disappointing session. I was surprised by how much Jupiter had grown since I last saw it, now almost 41"!

Hoping for better soon.. this weather happen has to change!

Nice try, Mike. Great image scale.

I was out in it last night, too. The seeing here was about the same

I'm working through my ToUcam and DMK data at the moment but can't see anything worth getting excited about.

Yeah. Let's hope the weather lifts its game...and soon!

Yes the weather has been a bit of a tease lately, your image Mike is very good for 4/10.

Conditions can only improve, (I hope).

Hi Mike, very nice, gotta love the image scale you're getting too. How are you finding the 12in and your new USB DMK compared with your old kit?

cheers,

Rob

Hi Rob
Sorry I forgot to answer your USB question in your thread.

I love the USB DMK. It can do 60fps no dramas, to both my internal HDD and external HDD. The 12" is also great, gives me more image scale and light. It's a beast on top of the poor EQ6

The USB DMK is also great because I don't need external power for it, or any PCMCIA card etc.

The seeing for this image was probably closer to 5/10 than 4/10 but I know it was definitely less than average especially for being at 74deg altitude

Thanks for your comments.
