observing Mr Moonie in daytime

Last weekend found me up at the top of Bunya Mountains. Yes, you guessed it - Anzac day full cloud cover all evening - nothing to look at.
Next morning, however whilst sipping my cuppa on the deck, my wife said "Oh look at the moon!" Well, I thought, I have lugged my little Celestron 90 mm grab 'n go up here - let's have a look.
I put in my 26 mm Plossl and what a sight! to see the moon surrounded with blue instead of pitch black, was awesome. I reckon I saw more detail than usual - ie at the top of the moon were two very distinct craters, then coming down from them, all around a "mare" for what must have been hundreds of kilometers, a large range of mountains, with numerous little craters following the mountains.
I stayed glued to the eyepiece till the moon went behind a tree. So, folks, have a look at Mr Moonie in the daytime - you won't be disappointed
