Skywatcher 10" newt/mpcc $600

For Sale:

Skywatcher 10" f4.7 OTA - tube re-painted white

Includes:

Fitted with 70mm secondary - upgraded from 60mm standard one.

7x50 finder

Moonlight CR-1 focuser - with 2" to 1 1/4" adapter (all with compression ring fittings)

Tube rings (Wilcox rotating rings fitted)

Dovetail - strengthened - see pic

Tube End Perforated for Hartman mask

Tube end perforated for Solar filter made from Kendrik solar film (included)
Covers for tube end - (including one made from a vegemite jar lid!!!)

Baader MPCC (this is latest model, has marks on body where it got jammed in a thread and I had to use pliers to extract - optics are unmarked however)

All up asking $600.

Located in Melbourne - East Keilor, no way of shipping interstate.

What's the length of the scope, looks longer then 1000mm.

scope is 1120mm long

Hi Gary,

What's the approx weight of the entire OTA?
Also, what size eq mount would be required to support and track in RA (EQ6)?

I'd guess the weight at around 18 kg's - weighs 20.5 kg's with a 100mm f5 guide scope on it. EQ-6 handles it fine (that's what I was using it on).
I initially thought the eq-6 was not enough, then found that "wobble" I saw was coming from the undersized dovetail. After modifying it (see pics) it was fine.
