19th April Jupiter

Hi all,

This morning was my first look at the GRS for a while, just that it hasn't been visable when I have been imaging.

Conditions were 5/10 with high thin cloud that effected transpearancey slightly.

Another very nice image, Lester. Plenty of detail in the GRS.

Great to see you taking advantage of the clear skies. Persistance pays off.

Another great image Lester. Lots of detail showing especially in the GRS.

Good luck for the transit tomorrow.

Thanks Matt.

I missed the Ganymede transit this morning due to high cloud.

Next time.

What good detail you have captured there.

I think its a terrific image and well worth posting for comment.

I remember when I first saw the big gas planets through my first scope when I was about 14, and they will always hold a fascination for me.

Well done. Keep up the good work.

Hi Andrew,

I removed the inbuilt filter from the front of the sensor. It was hampering the clarity I was getting. I would see Jupiter nice and clear, then image it and the results weren't very nice at all. Also there was a dust bunny under it from new, and that is gone now also.
