WITHDRAWN-Takahashi NJP Equatorial Mount with Temma 2 GOTO

I'm automating my observatory for remote operation and have just bought a Paramount ME and therefore need to sell my truly awesome Takahashi NJP w/- Temma 2 GOTO.

I'm looking for around AU$6700 or best offer. These mounts are AU$9300 new - this a saving of $2600.

Built in 2003, this mount has always been housed in my observatory. I replaced the original Temma GOTO unit with Temma2 GOTO electronics and motors supplied by AEC a year ago.

This mount has an awesome reputation for imaging - see Ron Wadaski's book on imaging for a reference and the thousands of brilliant images taken with this mount by Australian and overseas Astro imagers. Periodic error is amongst the lowest of any mount available today. The gears on this particular mount are superb with a measured PE of +3 -2 arc seconds. I've imaged with a Takahashi FS128 (~1200mm focal length) for 10 minutes unguided without visible trailing.

Accurate polar alignment is possible with the built in polar finder scope. By way of example the mount is currently aligned to within 57 arcsec in azimuth and 48 arcsec in elevation (figures from TPoint).

It is supplied with:
- Temma 2 GOTO
- Pier adapter plate (black thingy in images)
- 24V 8Amp switch mode power supply, cabling and software drivers
- Counterweight bar from a Paramount ME and some custom made (not stainless steel) counterweights.
- Casady dovetail saddle
- Scope Guard custom packing case.

The mount will take a 30Kg scope and accessories without a breaking a sweat.

On the following images I've used my hand as a rough scale.

More images can be had on request. Personal inspections are always welcome.

If you are into imaging and want a better mount or getting into imaging in the first instance, this is a mount to consider.

Regards

Lars
