Jupiter + the 3 red spots - 10th April

Hi all

First morning of good seeing in about 3 weeks, revealed Jupiter with the GRS and white oval next to it (hopefully about to be consumed), and Red Jr and the LRS.

Here's 3 images over about a frustrating hour, as it was my first session since returning from SPSP so I hadn't polar aligned, meaning Jupiter was drifting off the FOV quickly, IC Capture crashed on me twice, and the dew was so heavy it was dripping off the trees onto me (and the laptop) like rain.

Anyway good to be out amongst it again.

A very nice set of images Mike. Gee, the surface details seem more detailed, complex and colourful compared to when I last imaged the Jovian disc. Time for me to swot up perhaps!

Sounds like you had some, ahem, fun with the gear, set up and local environmental conditions - not!

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks Mike... it's funny, sometimes it seems like the gear has a mind of its own - some mornings I'll have no problems at all and other mornings all sorts of little things will go wrong...

Mike great pictures mate. Was wondering what program you have used for the picturesthat enables you to also list the details of the pciture etc on the photo itself. I am presuming it is a capture program that does this

thanks

Hi Shane

Yes, I use photoshop as my main image editing application. It lets you put text layers (among many many other things) to present your image.

Mike,

Sensational images - so much detail and the colour is great.
