GSO 6", 8", 10" F9 RC OTA's

Does anyone have more information about these here?

Not me, but it was only a matter of time before the Chinese brought out their own premium reflector. I assumed it was going to be a SCT but by the look of that... Very interesting.

If GSO are calling them RC's does that mean they have the hyperbolic primary etc same as a 'real' RC rather than an 'enhanced' Meade. Thermal stabillity is the major issue with RC optics as dimensional stability is paramount.

Just curious.

Hi Bert/All,

Link below to a thread started by Michael from Bintel.

http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=30133

I hope this answers some of your questions. It will be interesting to see how they go once they get here, both from a sales and performance perspective.

Regards
Wayne

Thanks Wayne, just what I wanted to know. I suppose I should have done a search.

You're welcome Bert - nice to help someone out who has been around the traps for a while.

I had been keeping an eye on these as I am undecided as to what to do for a larger aperture imaging scope. Just have to convince her who needs convincing that breeding telescopes is a fantastic hobby
