Living life on the edge – almost crossed the line!

Went to a friends (astronomy club member) late afternoon wedding yesterday; you should have seen the looks our wives gave us when we suggested getting the club’s 8” DOB out of Tony’s car to do a bit of Moon observing!

Needless to say, we didn’t. Didn’t observe, nor incur their collective wrath!

Cheers

Dennis

Lucky call....the only "Moon" you may have been observing if you did as you suggested would've been the "Moon" in front of your face as your wives jammed your heads up one another's "proverbial posterior place"

No celestial delights are to be found there!!!

If that were all, we’d have got off quite lightly; unfortunately, there’s much, much worse than that! LOL!

Yes - or, deep, savage budget cuts for next year’s planned equipment and accessory acquisitions that we will be submitting after the national budget. LOL!

You mean, for the small 10m scope and observatory building you've been planning on putting up in the backyard??!!! Oh, and all the add-on bits and pieces, of course

tried to get a photo at the reception with the full moon inthe background.

i also had a pair of 7x50's in the car - but never got to use them as the cloud was bad

I reckon that deserves the trophy for Australian astronomy’s archetypal male – you are the man!
