Jupiter from Melbourne

Had excellent conditions this morning, with seeing being almost as good as it gets in Melbourne and although stars were twinkling there was no wind and Jove was up high.

Processed 2 Avi's with the 18h59m45s avi being processed 2 different ways and the 18h47m avi being processed differently again to gauge results.

Approx between 500 and 550 frames stacked in R,G and B and split in AVIRAW, processed in Registax 3 (yep - if I have poor tracking it does a better job of aligning the image than R4), AstraImage and Photoshop 7.0.

Hope others got out there.

Enjoy.

Excellent images, John! I like the processing of the 2nd one the best.

Great to see you out there!

Hey John!

Very nice images, mate. Better than any Joves I've produced this year

They look a little pink/red on my monitor...but that's probably just my screen.

Great detail and nice, smooth processing.

Glad you got some good seeing. Any chance you can send some this way? Only when you're finished with it, though!!

Well done. Looking forward to more from you as this apparition progresses.
