Jupiter in the day

Just noticed Joop next to the moon this morning.
It is placed exactly one thumbs width at arms length (tech term here) to the north of the moon.
Happy hunting!

Thanks Matt - first clear skies in Christchurch this morning for a while. Jupiter is high in the eastern sky here and although the seeing isn't great, I could see two equatorial cloud bands and watched Europa rising from behind the limb - a great sight.

Yesterday morning it was a nice pairing.. the seeing just wasn't very good

Out there again this morning but again the seeing was terrible. Europa sure did look nice coming out from behind Jupiter.
