I finally got some time to try out the Vixen 102m form my front yard last night. The image is about a 70% crop of the original, Vixen 102m f10, 400D, 200 iso, 1/250 sec. Auto levels in PS CS2.
It's a bit early, but I want to use it for the Venus transit and the eclipse in 2012. Mostly lunar and solar at this stage, but with an eye to webcam the planets perhaps. Its also a great instrument for public field nights.
The image was just taken and focused by eye... probably just a bit out of focus. Cropped it in photoshop and just used the "auto levels" function to brighten and sharpen a bit. I'm working on getting a machine down with the scope to look at it on the screen and tweak the focus a bit better. Still, I'm happy with the results so far, thanks Mike.
