A dark nebula complex in Chamelion wide field

Hi
I used the 300mm lens from Bert to image the nebula complex surrounding IC 2631 in the far south. Ive already got images of it with the 10 and 6 inch scopes, this shows it in a much wider field.
18 x 5 mins ISO200
300mm f2.8 flourite lens
modded 350D, uv/ir filter
Sky quite good for Newcastle, cool and clear
processed as usual in Iris and PS, strong gradient had to be dealt with, this is my first quick effort in processing, I might have another go tomorrow.

I like that image of IC 2631 Scott. It looks like two satellites "crossed" above the nebula. The dark part is bird shaped, a bit like a negative of M16.

Thanks.
At f2.8 even on a good night the sky rapidly fogs out, exposures longer than 5 mins arent possible without a nebula filter. Out in the country 10 mins would be the go. It never gets that high in the sky as its close to the SCP, but last night even there the sky was about as dark as it ever gets in Newcastle. The whole nebula complex there is very faint. That, and its southerly location is why theres not many images of it.

Yes its odd I got 2 satellites whose orbits crossed there.
