Looking for better Meade LPI software

I am looking for some software that can control a Meade LPI camera.

I do not use the LPI that often but find the Autostar software crashes at least twice per session annoying.

Hi Brendan

K3CCDTools at:
http://www.pk3.org/Astro/?software.htm
shows that is supports the Meade LPI from Version 2.2.4.

Current (to purchase) version is 3.5.10.1081

Cheers

Dennis

G'day Brendan. What sort of application are you looking to put the LPI towards? Guiding or Imaging?

I don't know if it will work but you could try Stark Labs Craterlet (it's free) or you might want to try Virtual Dub it works as well, but from memory I had some issues with getting a frame rate faster than about 3 frames/sec. Mind you it's been a while. I haven't had an LPI for ages. You could also try AMcap. I believe that it will work with the LPI as well.

The latest version of K3CCD tools should drive it ok. There's a 30 day trial so you don't have to buy it outright. Just tried it on my aGent webcam and it seems pretty good.
