Saturn from the 8th

Hi all,

Haven't had a chance to use the Toucam pro II for a while but the seeing looked pretty good last weekend. Only Registax 4 processing done so any suggestions on how to improve would be welcome.

Hi Daniel

That is a very nice image – well done. It could be a bit brighter, but you have certainly got some nice detail with the CD very distinct. Good technique and focus.

Saturn is a faint object compared to say, Jupiter and therefore benefits from increased exposures times, which are not always supported by the seeing.

Cheers

Dennis

Very nice Daniel, very sharp, good colour.

A tiny bit of misalignment in the colour channels, but it's looking damn good!

Thanks Dennis, Mike for replying. I have noticed how dim Saturn is this year, the toucam was on it's longest exposure and it still needed more.

The Blue channel was out a bit after stacking and I had to use the RGB align feature. Is there away to eliminate this during caputer?

Well done.
