everyone,
there is to be a lunar occultation of El Nath (beta Tauri) tonight (14th March).
For SE Australia the sun will be still up at the disappearance but OccultV4 says the event should be readily viewable in as little as 50mm aperture.
Stever Kerr has a good blurb on the event in the March/April A-S&T page 69.

The events will occur at the marginal zone of the the lunar southern hemisphere, meaning as you stand looking at the moon before the D time, the star will be seen next to the top right quadrant at the dark limb and look for the reappearance event at the top left quadrant at the bright limb.
This star is listed as a Worssell "double" (long story) so light curves of video observations showing a step event or otherwise are welcome.
