New Lightbridge ( and G.S.O.) Counterweights

Farpoint Astronomical Reasearch in the U.S have just released these very stylish and practical counterweights for all the Meade Lightbridge scopes.
Cost is reasonable, but the weight may make the transport cost to OZ high.
I'm waiting for a reply from them about this.
Does any one have a CNC out there...........with a little adjustment of the design..........................:wh istle:

must be missing something in translation here, doesnt the balance point depend on the eyepiece at the other end? how will this work if you have too heavy an eyepiece (like 2" meade and nagler Ep's). Sorry I am just a Lightbridge newbie without the scope yet (LOL the 16 is on the way)

Hi Houghy,
Congratulations on the 16"Lb. It is a great buy at the price, especially with all the extras!!
There is a formula to counter weight dobs.
It's roughly 2.5X the weight at the mirror end, to what you're placing at the e/p end..
I have a shroud, 9x50mm finder, and a dew/light shield for my 12".
The total c/w needed is 3.8kg.
If you have other questions, please ask.
