Focus looks slightly off, or maybe you were just let down by the seeing.

I'm not sure what happened to the white balance settings, but the moon looks pinkish/purple. How do you set the white balance?

In post-processing you can convert it to greyscale or de-saturate which can give a more pleasing result.
