Wide Field - Eta Region - Full Moon - NBR

Hi, took this to see how the 2" NBR filter would work under a full moon last night with my 135mm Zeiss f3.5 lens mounted on the Canon 20d.

This was taken wide open and is 8*300s at iso 800.

There are quite a few objects in the fov, NGC3372, 3293, 3532, 3584...I am sure there are more. I am quite happy with the result for a lens that cost me $75 on ebay...the original is much sharper I have had to use high compression to get under 150Kb.

Hope the clounds stay away tonight...

That is an excellent image John, the lens and the NPB filter seem a good combination.

Would be good to see the image resized using the new 200kb posting limit.

200Kb version added

Still only at 50% scale and compressed quite hard, these widefiled images have too much detail for jpeg...

John, I quite quite like that, maybe a landscape version may have given it more impact, however nicely done.
