Canon 300mm F/2.8L Lens Withdrawn

Hi Guys.

I have given this a lot of thought and the decision has been made in my mind, so I'm putting up my Canon 300mm F2.8L lens for sale.

It is as i bought it, perfect with not a mark on it, optically, excellent, and performs perfectly, I just prefer the Tak for imaging, and seeing that I don't do any other photography it is just being wasted pearched on the imaging platform as a counter weight.

It is well suited for imaging as it is not a IS lens, and I have been told that this is better for astro work by some very skilled images on IIS.

Anyway, there is not much else i can say about it, it is just not needed, so if you want a top quality piece of glass, give it some thought.

The price will be $4200.00 (firm) posted to your door, well packed and registered.

Please make inquiries through PM if you wish to discuss any aspects of this lens.

If it was the IS version I'd consider paying that much (non astronomy work)

Yep, Pete I can see your point, for other types of photography the IS is well suited, although this will also do the job quite well with the steady hand, or the tripod.

IS lenses work fine for astronomy incidentally... the IS feature has a clever feature called an 'off' switch

I regularly attach my 300m Canon L IS to my STL11000M and get great results.

Regards,
Rob.
